Uniqlo goes to the movies with its Spring/Summer 2013 collection

UNIQLO, Japan’s leading global fashion brand, continues to open large-scale stores in some of the world’s most important cities and locations, as part of its ongoing efforts to solidify its status as a truly global brand. UNIQLO operates an integrated business model under which it designs, manufactures, markets and sells high-quality, casual apparel in line with its ‘Made for All’ philosophy.

Along with such campaigns is a flow of creative juices in their designs to tap different markets. Filipino film buffs are of course included in their list of fans thus UNIQLO go to the movies as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection which were launched during a hip fashion show held at Venice PIazza, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig last February 7.

The “Creative Filmmakers” line by UNIQLO, Japan’s leading global fashion brand, has been making waves since it was released. UNIQLO’s Creative Filmmakers UT collection designs draw on inspiration and scenes from previous creative works of the Directors Bureau, launched in 1996 by Roman Coppola and Mike Mills, which has been releasing numerous commercial and music video works with astounding movie directors from all over the world. Among the directors included in the line are Gia Coppola, Jonas and Francois, Geoff Mc Fetridge, Aaron Rose and Melodie McDaniel.

Another box-office hit of a collection is said to be “From s long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away, and long after the Jedi Knights have perished, young Luke Skywalker has a fateful encounter with Princess Leia, a leader of the Rebel forces. Luke and Leia fight alongside Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO against the evil forces of Darth Vader to help restore peace in the galaxy. UNIQLO has taken imagery and characters from one of the greatest cinematic creations and combined them with high-quality tees. May the force be with you when you wear a Star Wars UT.

The play and fun philosophy of Disney is captured in UNIQLO’s “Disney-Pixar” UT collection that never fails to appeal to people of all ages all over the world. Based on the phenomenal computer-generated (CG) adventure stories created with ever-advancing technology and techniques that never fail to fascinate people, Disney-Pixar is now with UNIQLO through its Disney-Pixar UT shirts. With favorite characters from Disney-Pixar modern classic movies like “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “Wall-E” and “Cars,” UNIQLO definitely has a Disney-Pixar UT for every Filipino fan.

The new line of UT collection is available at UNIQLO’s SM Mall of Asia and SM North Edsa The Block stores and is priced at P590. The UNIQLO store at the SM Mall of Asia is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. while the UNIQLO store at the 2nd floor of the SM City North EDSA The Block is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays.
