By the time you read this post, you might as well are aware that “Gangnam Style” by the Korean rapper, Psy, has beaten Justin Bieber on YouTube views. Saturday, November 24, 2012, “Gangnam Style” surpassed Bieber’s “Baby” with 806 million views to make it YouTube’s most-watched clip of all time. Bieber had previously held the record with 804 million votes.
Psy’s real name is Park Jae-sang. He is 34, the father of twin girls, and was born in Seoul, in the upscale Gangnam district. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston and released his first album of hip-hop songs in 2001. He has been something of a midlevel star until this summer’s breakout hit, and he’s hardly one of the hard-bodied, highly produced clones who populate the K-pop universe.
This newsmaker is definitely one of the biggest surprises this year. Psy was able to bridged people of all ages around the world. A toddler oir a grandparent knows the tune and how to dance with it.
