Celebrities graced Exclusive Advance Screening of Korean Superstar Kim Seon-Ho’s The Childe

Te highly anticipated exclusive advance screening of “The Childe,” a chilling action thriller starring Korean superstar Kim Seon-Ho, at the Ayala Malls Bonifacio High Street Cinemas last July 3 was a big success. Celebrities who are also fans of K-Dramas graced the event thus creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

“The Childe” revolves around a Korean-Filipino or Kopino boxer’s quest to find his father in Korea, only to discover that he is entangled in a dangerous web of pursuers and shocking revelations. Packed with thrilling action and gripping suspense, the movie promises to captivate audiences with its intriguing storyline with deep Filipino roots.

The red carpet was graced by numerous celebrities and social media stars, further adding glamour to the event. Among the prominent personalities in attendance was Jed Madela, the renowned OPM hitmaker and a passionate KPop and K-drama enthusiast. Jed Madela enthusiastically praised Kim Seon-Ho’s performance, stating, “Seon-Ho is amazing in this movie!!! Must watch guys!”

Teejay Marquez, a rising Southeast Asian idol, also shared his excitement about “The Childe” and commended its intense plot and surprising twists. He particularly adored the movie’s charming and cute ending. Other notable artists who walked the red carpet included Shalani Soledad, a politician turned TV host; Kapuso Comedian-Actress Divine Aucina;  Zach Guerero, a former PBB alumni; Pupa Dadivas, Miss Universe PH-Roxas City; and TikTok superstars Dane Aguirre and Manu Torreno.

Throughout the screening, the cinema reverberated with loud cheers and giggles as Kim Seon-Ho delivered lines in Tagalog, endearing himself to Filipino audiences. Memorable phrases like “Ngumit ka naman dyan!” and “Akong bahala sa’yo!” showcased the actor’s Pinoy language skills and further enhanced the film’s appeal.

“The Childe” is proudly brought to the Philippines by Creazion Studios and Glimmer Productions, emphasizing their commitment to providing quality Korean content to Filipino audiences. Grace Lee, CEO of Glimmer Studios, expressed her excitement, stating, “This is just one of the many Korean content that we are serving to Filipino audiences.”
