The movie tells about David Santos is a popular student from National High and the star of the championship basketball team. His world gets rocked when he discovers rival competing high school basketball player Jake Anderson bleeding and dying. David struggles with his confidence as Jake, forced to leave his private school academy because of drugs, transfers to National and becomes very popular. An overprotective father, Ed Santos always preaching to David only makes matters worse as David feels alone. Jake fights to escape his dark past and persistent pursuit by bad friends, while angry at his father, John Anderson who is estranged from his wife and too busy for Jake. National High School Guidance Counselor Mr. Soriano, who himself has an unknown past, acts as a spiritual advisor to both boys. David and Jake will make choices before graduation – but time is running out, for both.
