A group of 153 farmers from Binan, Laguna filed a complaint against Chairman of Fil-Estate Golf & Development, Inc. Robert John Sobrepeña at the NBI Anti- Fraud and Action Division Office.
The farmers group who are CARP beneficiaries’ claims that in 1989 have come into an arrangement with Fil-Estate Golf & Development, Inc. to land swapping and disturbance compensation in exchange to their farm land situated along South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) near South Woods Exit. The said arrangement was then recommended by DAR-Municipal Agrarian Reform Office for land conversion.
The farmers waited for the agreement to materialize, and until now the Land Swapping never came to reality. They were also surprised to learn that in 1992 a Deed of Sale was executed in their behalf, to Fil-Estate Golf & Development, Inc. represented by the accused, Sobrepeña and a certain Rodolfo Lerpido.
The “Deed of Sale” was fraudulent and fictitious according to farmers because they’d never sign any document pertaining to the disposal of the farm land.
The said complaint was assigned to supervising agent Dominador Samiano, Jr. and still under the investigation process.
