KFC Philippines and the National Basketball Association (NBA) treated some lucky fans as PBA top center Doug Kramer faced NBA rising star DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors in a Fully Loaded Shootout held at the KFC SM Mall of Asia this afternoon
Kramer and DeRozan were named captains of Team KFC and Team NBA, respectively. They were joined by the top two winning teams with three players each. The shootout is KFC Philippines’ initiative in line with this year’s NBA 3X Philippines.
After the smoke was cleared, Team KFC of Kramer edged DeRozan’s team NBA 23-21 after a 60-second shootout as witnessed by cheering fans at the makeshift gallery inside the KFC restaurant.
Team Media, carrying the banner of Team KFC, made it a double celebration for Kramer as the trio of media men Randy Caluag, Matt Ardina and Lito Oredo emerged champion after four rounds of shootout in the event held in line with the NBA 3X, an annual event of the NBA in the Philippines.
“We recognize the Filipinos’ passion for basketball and by having our country’s own basketball star, Doug Kramer, represent Team KFC in the Fully Loaded Shootout, we’ll be showcasing the love that we have for this game,” explained KFC Philippines Marketing Director Errol Magdato.
“As the official fast food partner of the NBA, KFC Philippines has been known for bringing a so good basketball experience to NBA fans in the country through our promos and events,” he added.
