Who will it all the way to the top priza?
The global contest hosted by Taiwan Excellence for smart health and fitness solutions announces the Top 6 Finalists in the running to win USD 30,000. The top finalists hail from the following countries and will be defending their proposals in Taiwan this December: United States of America, Indonesia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Mexico, and New Zealand.
The ‘Go Healthy with Taiwan’ campaign called for proposals worldwide made to develop health and wellness needs in communities that integrate Taiwan technologies, business models and products. The contest received over 600 proposals from 55 countries, resulting in a global movement for better health solutions.
Highlighting Taiwan’s top industries in health and wellness, the contest also provided categories for participants to build their proposals on. The three categories encouraged to showcase in the entries are Cycling, Fitness, and Smart Healthcare.
‘Go Healthy with Taiwan’ Top 6 Finalists
From declaring the Top 21 Semi-finalists from countries such as the Philippines, Germany, and Australia, the global initiative announced the following Top 6 Finalists moving forward in the final leg of the contest:
Indonesia, Smart Mother & Child Health Post: An Integrated Digital Health System to Prevent Stunting and Maternal Mortality – A smart maternal & infant station system with a digital upgrade by utilizing Taiwan fetal heart meters and medical tablets, BP monitors, and baby scales with the goal of reaching 90,000 stations in just 7 years.
Ukraine, SafeNet: Securing Lifeline Connectivity in Wartime Healthcare – The war-time medical network, SafeNet, to strengthen telemedicine and to secure uninterrupted hospital networks in First Lviv Territorial Medical Union by making use of Taiwan switches and Wi-Fi.
Mexico, Smart BikeHealth Kids – Transforming Mobility into Health – A school program that confronts childhood obesity and builds health data platforms, while applying wearable tech, IoT, and smart bikes from Taiwan.
Switzerland, Powering the Future of Healthcare: Perovskite Solar-Powered Wearables through Taiwan–Switzerland Collaboration – A project in collaboration with Taiwan for materials and equipment firms to innovate self-powered health monitors and develop solar-powered wearable medical technology.
United States of America, SmartEdge Baseball: Pioneering the Future of Sport with Markerless Biomechanical Intelligence – An optimized markerless baseball biomechanics platform aiming for the prevention of injuries and enhanced performance with the help of edge computing, smart apparel, and sensors from Taiwan.
New Zealand, Cycle Taiwan: Wellness Rides for New Zealand Adventurers – Bike-tours with focus on culture and health and promoting tourism and wellness by tapping into Taiwan’s resources of smart wearables and bicycles.
